With a question in mind, randomly pull a set of three cards from the whole deck shuffled together. The Shuffled Row is slightly more complex to read than The Basic Row.

How To Play

  1. Play this formation alone or with a group.

  2. Combine and shuffle the entire deck, so all categories are mixed together.

  3. Ask a question. This formation can be paired with any question. For question ideas, visit Questions.

  4. Select three cards randomly from the deck shuffled together. Place them faced down in the above formation.

  5. When you are ready, flip the cards over.

  6. Interpret. If playing in a group, the person who asked the question typically speaks first. While The DOC is more about improvising and honoring your genuine reaction to the cards, you can read about each card in more depth via Cards.

  7. If playing in a group, pass the deck to the next player.
