Pull two Classic Rows: one for what is easy and another for what is hard to understand.
How To Play
Play this formation alone or with a group.
Separate The Deck of Character into its three main categories.
Pull the the top row first: ask “What do I understand with ease?”
Shuffle each pile: “Character,” “Tool,” and “Place.”
Pull one card at random from each category. Lay each card face down in the above formation.
Pull the the bottom row next: ask “What do I struggle to understand?”
Shuffle each pile.
Pull one card at random from each category. Lay each card face down in the above formation.
Flip all six selected cards over.
Interpret. If playing in a group, the person who asked the question typically speaks first. While The DOC is more about improvising and honoring your genuine reaction to the cards, you can read about each card in more depth via Cards.
If playing in a group, pass the deck to the next player.
