Thief is one of the hardest cards to understand in The Deck of Character. Usually when pulled, this character means that you or someone you know are giving your personal power away to someone or something, including a belief system. Or the card suggests that you or someone you know are running from someone, something, or somewhere. It’s hard to understand because if you knew how you were giving your power away and to what, you likely wouldn’t do it anymore.
This card is an unstable energy. The Thief is in movement, running, panicked, carrying a bag of their stolen goods, worldly possessions, or shame. The Thief has no mouth, no ability to speak up, and is forever silenced. The Thief is a card of gaslighting; it is time to stand solid for what you believe.
